Objectives:
|
The general project objectives are:
- Expertise share with other EU partners with recognized
competence in the area of the project
- Address a fine-sectorial need of great demand of qualified
people with IT skills and competences (medium level)
- Equal opportunities with regards to the employment chances
and promote of young graduates; equal opportunities for both
man and women
- Design and implementation of VET and eVET products for
pilot courses based on the ECDL CAD syllabus, in two
languages: Romanian and English; the eVET contents published
in to specific and-Learning Platform
- Standardization of ECDL manuals and learning materials
across the consortium partners assuring that prospective
European students/beneficiaries will benefit from the same
courses and learning materials
- Standardization of the new ECDL learning technology
through cross-learning and testing; this will be achieved
through learning/testing working visits by staff from the
consortium partners to the CECA centre
- Ensure that ECDL distance learning is an option for people
most at a disadvantage in the labour market, including
disabled people
- Covering new qualifications and skills required by the
labour market due to technological advances and evolution,
referred to the different situation in the countries of the
partnership
- Sharing of experiences in the area of ECDL
training/testing among project partners
- Improving the collaboration relations between project
partners Enlarging the access of the public to educational
resources
- Official and mutual recognizing of competencies and IT
skills (same ECDL certificate across Europe)
- Development of Information Society in all countries
involved within the partnership of the project
- Valorisation and dissemination of the project results and
products at local, National and across Europe
- Enlarging the access of the public to educational
resources
- Setting up a transnational network (among the partners
involved in the project), with a possibility for further
development. This will allow for:
• Setting up of a distance professional training system
using ICT tools;
• Information updating between partners concerning testing
and improving of the learning products and results
• Dissemination and valorisation of the results obtained in
the different levels of the programme
The specific project objectives are:
- Develop specific models of "self-sustainable ECDL CAD
training/testing centre" related with the specific
organisational, professional, didactical, economic contexts
of every Partner
- Development of the Romanian Technological Infrastructure
for the experimentation of the Model and the System for the
Centre. The infrastructure will be put near the centre of
the Promoter and it will have a series of technologies of
development e/o fruition near the centres of the other
partners, also for the experimentation of the products of
distance formation – the CECA centre and its infrastructure
(at the Promoter site and mirror sites)
- Design and print of ECDL CAD manuals needed for the
training/testing process (manuals with ISBN, approved and
accredited by ECDL), in at least two languages: partner’s
language and English
- Dissemination and valorisation of results and good
practices through CDs, leaflets, brochures, ECDL CAD manuals
with ISBN (in at least two languages: partner’s language and
English), website
- Developing a curricula based on ECDL CAD syllabus for
lectures and seminars; the centre intends to allow students
to have access to both online learning (e-learning) and
classical learning in the presented topic, therefore one of
the aims of the CECA project will be the development of such
a learning environment (most probably protected website with
text and advantages offered by Multimedia Technologies such
as Macromedia Flash or Macromedia Director animations and
demos for lectures, examples and exercises)
- Take necessary steps to ensure that Engineering students
will study CAD concepts after the new ECDL analytical
curricula (with optional awarding of ECDL CAD certificates
by request) at the Promoter level
- Take necessary steps to ensure that students will study

the level of every Partner of the project consortium, as an
improvement in initial training

Sign up for ECDL CAD courses The CECA centre delivers ECDL CAD training and testing session during the month of March 2008. The lectures will be delivered after 5 pm. The ECDL CAD course comprises 30 hours of training. The CECA center will provide its students with course materials on paper and online. Last CECA Consortium Meeting Last Consortium meeting of the CECA project was held in Bucharest, Romania, 12-12th of May 2007. The host organisation was Politehnica University of Bucharest, promotor of the CECA project. Free ECDL CAD pilot courses In the implemenetation of the CECA project, a number of 24 students will be selected to participate in a free-of-charge ECDL CAD pilot testing. More details are presented here. Third CECA Consortium meeting Third Consortium meeting of the CECA project was held in Livorno, Italy, 23-26th of November 2006. The host organisation was Sistemi e Servizi SRL, partner in the CECA project. Thematic Monitoring Conference CECA project was present at the Thematic Monitoring Conference - Theme 5 on Potential of e-learning in life long learning, in Sofia, Bulgaria, 6th-7th of November, 2006. Second consortium meeting The second consortium meeting was held in Kaunas, Lithuania, 28th of June-1st of July 2006. Host: Computer Literacy Centre at Kaunas University of Technology.
